1. Our agreement
These Terms of Use govern the Cymatics Lab website and services operated by Kiefer Studio LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the services.
The App Store application is licensed under the end-user license agreement presented with the app. Where no custom agreement is supplied, Apple’s Standard EULA applies. These terms describe our website and service rules and do not replace mandatory Apple terms or your statutory consumer rights.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is processed. Contact cymatics@kiefer.studio with questions.
2. Your account
You can explore the Lab without a community account, subject to the features and purchases available in your version. Signed-in community actions use Sign in with Apple. Keep your account secure and do not impersonate another person or evade an account restriction.
You must be at least 13, or a higher age required by applicable law, to use community features independently. If you are not legally able to enter this agreement on your own, a parent or guardian must agree where permitted by law.
You can stop using the service and request account deletion from Settings in the app or by contacting us. Deleting the app alone does not delete your community account or published content. See the deletion explanation before removing an account.
3. Features and purchases
Cymatics Lab is currently a free download with a one-time Cymatics Lab Pro in-app purchase. Downloading the app alone does not qualify for the early-purchase offer. The purchase screen shows the price in your region.
Buy Pro before the update. Keep the upgrade.
If you purchase Cymatics Lab Pro before the upcoming rebuilt version launches on the App Store, you receive lifetime access to all paid features included in that update, without a subscription. Existing Pro owners are included. This is an upgrade to your qualifying Pro purchase; you do not need to buy Pro again when the update arrives.
The offer ends when the new version launches. We currently expect release by October 10, 2026; this is an estimate, not a guaranteed release date. Until release, your purchase unlocks Pro features in the current app. Composer, Liquid Lab and other previewed additions are not available in today’s download.
Keep the Apple account used for your purchase. Use Restore Purchases if the updated app needs to restore your access. A refunded or revoked Pro purchase does not qualify. Lifetime access means no recurring subscription payment for the included features; it does not guarantee compatibility with every future device or uninterrupted online services.
Apple processes payments and eligible refunds. You can request a refund from Apple; eligibility is determined under Apple’s policies and applicable law. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
For customers who do not qualify for this offer, any subscription available in their version is governed by the renewal and cancellation details shown at purchase. Deleting the app or an account does not cancel an Apple-managed subscription.
4. Your creative work
You retain the rights you hold in your music, visual creations and other contributions. Using Cymatics Lab does not transfer ownership of your work to us. You are responsible for having the rights needed to import, record, publish, remix or distribute material, including music and other people’s performances.
A music-service subscription does not itself give you permission to redistribute that service’s tracks. Exporting a file does not clear music, sample, performance or other third-party rights. Only share work you are entitled to share.
Keep your own copies of important projects and exports. An editable Composer project, an audio export and a community Wave are different things; one is not a guaranteed backup of the others.
5. Publishing and remixing
When you publish content to Waves, you grant Kiefer Studio LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content as needed to operate the community, including through service providers working for us.
You also allow other users to view, save and remix your published Wave through the app’s intended features, with the attribution carried by those features. This permission does not grant unrestricted commercial use of someone else’s music or remove any third-party rights.
Deleting a contribution ends new distribution by us except where continued retention is reasonably needed for legal, moderation or technical purposes. Copies already saved, exported or remixed by others may remain. We will seek your permission before newly featuring your individual creation in standalone promotional material outside the community service.
Do not publish private information, copyrighted material without permission or content that violates our Community Guidelines. Creator credit is not a substitute for permission.
6. Community and acceptable use
Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate, publish exploitative or sexually explicit content, expose private information, infringe intellectual property, send spam or manipulate community activity. Do not bypass paid access, interfere with the service, exploit vulnerabilities or access accounts and data without authorization.
We may investigate reports and restrict or remove content or accounts when reasonably needed to address violations, safety, legal obligations or service integrity. We may give notice or an explanation when appropriate, unless doing so would create risk or conflict with law. You can contact us to ask for a review of an action.
Use the available in-app report and block controls, or email us with the content name, creator and reason. Do not send sensitive or illegal material as an attachment. A copyright complaint should identify the work and disputed content and provide a way to reach you.
7. Music and other services
Apple, Spotify and other connected services have their own account, subscription, permission and usage requirements. Their availability and functionality may change. We do not control those services or guarantee uninterrupted integration.
Apple Music and Spotify visualization relies on microphone pickup of speaker playback. Supported unprotected files in Music Library use direct internal playback and analysis. The app does not bypass content protection or grant recording rights.

8. Using the Lab responsibly
Cymatics Lab is a creative and exploratory tool. Its visualizations are simulations and expressive interpretations of sound, not calibrated scientific measurements or medical advice. A given frequency does not guarantee one universal shape or a health outcome.
Use comfortable listening levels, take breaks from intense motion or flashing visuals, and do not use the app when doing so would distract you from driving or other activities requiring attention.
9. The app and brand
The software, interface, original visual assets and Cymatics Lab branding belong to Kiefer Studio LLC or its licensors. Except as allowed by the app license, applicable law or an open-source license, do not copy or redistribute the software, extract proprietary code or imply our endorsement without permission.
This does not prevent you from using your own creative outputs in ways permitted by these terms or exercising rights that applicable law cannot restrict.
10. Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful, reliable service, but cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or compatible with every device, file or third-party service. To the extent permitted by law, the website and community services are provided as available without additional warranties.
To the extent permitted by law, Kiefer Studio LLC is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from the website or community services, such as loss of profits or interruption of business. The app’s applicable license governs app-specific warranty and liability provisions.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable protections for fraud, serious misconduct or personal injury. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer remedies.
11. Changes and applicable law
We may update the service and these terms. Material changes will receive notice when required by law. The date on this page identifies the latest version; changes apply prospectively in accordance with applicable law.
These service terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. If you are a consumer, you retain the mandatory protections and access to courts provided by the law where you live. Applicable Apple license provisions remain separate.
If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. Please first contact cymatics@kiefer.studio about a concern so we have an opportunity to help.
